The 2016 NTS and 2021 NTS surveys were conducted as a multimode survey. The respondents were able to participate in the survey by phone or mail, or via the internet. The change of method caused a break in the time series, and the results are thus not fully comparable with previous surveys. The response rate of the surveys has dropped significantly between 2016 (44 %) and 2021 (27 %). Partly because of this, some figures for 2021 have not been presented when they have been seen as too unreliable.
